Hi,
First post in Hear Here I spend most of my time in the Sunday Songwriters Group where all these songs got thier start.
I would like to draw particular attention to the song Fires
it is my most personal work about tragedy and survival.
Let me know what you think and I know I'm not the greatest
vocalist.

The song sounds good. I was kinda confused because you just talk the whole time. I'd love to hear it sung. Also, I can't really hear the lyrics and being that this is a song that's important to you, maybe you could increase the volume on vocals. Overall, it was pretty good. Then agian, I'm not the critic of the century.
I actually like the way you sang this. It sounds familiar for some reason, yet I feel it's very original. I don't have any problem hearing the vocals, at all, maybe it's your sound card/sound system whitney?
I really liked the lyrics, it's probably because you are writing about something that you care about. Good job with all that.
Guitar sounded great too, can't really say anything bad about it. Maybe try to get a solo in there? (I don't know, maybe not, too many songs have solo's anyhow!)
Recording sounded great also.
Very well done.
Taso
P.S.
Although I like the way you did it, I'd also like to hear what it would sound like REALLY sung, belted out ya know?
I like the way you did fires, Lots of feeling went into it, some good tunes there, I liked Dancing Girl Blues also 8) 8) Keep it up :D --the dog
It's true. I don't have that great of a soundcard. That brings true meaning to the phrase "It's not you, it's me."
Thanks Guys
I've always had issues with singing and really lack
confidence but I'm trying.
You should hear the one I don't post
Scary VERY SCARY :!:

Fires is great. The vocals are a bit 'Lou Reed meets Leonard Cohen' and really fit the feeling of the song. A slow 'Gilmour' solo would fit perfectly but this song doesn't need a solo to stand up.
Celt,
Really nice stuff and the vocals fit perfectly..it's a great song, but I really feel like Taso it's sounds so familiar, I can't put my finger on it but it is hauntingly familiar, yet original.
I think you sound more like Kris Kristofferson.
"It's all about stickin it to the man!"
It's a long way to the top if you want to rock n roll!
