Does anyone know of any decent free software to create simple drum loops...ive tried Hammerhead but it seems to be more hip hop/dance orientated. Also if anyone can point me in the direction of some free loops you can download id be grateful- again theres loads of stuff out there but a lot of it is geared towards dance music. Im using audacity and just want something basic to lay down witrh a chord progression/solo.

You could try iDrum, it's free for 15 days.

Try here: http://www.threechords.com/hammerhead/userbanks.shtml

Scroll down to the bottom and download the acoustic file into your HammerHead directory. You then need to change the customgui2 to a dll file and get rid of the default one (theres a text file attached that explains it all).
