I was in a local electronics chain store on the weekend, and found this guitar to usb interface.
Looks like a cool little thing.
The only thing that makews me hesitate is that the packaging (and most of the web searching that I've done) only mentions using it on a Mac. No mention of Windows (or Linux).

Since it comes with no driver disk, nor any mention of drivers, I have to assume that the Mac supports it natively. Possibly as a "generic USB audio device".

Has anyone played with one of these?
Any ides if it can be used with a non-Mac computer?

It says and I qoute:

"The MicPlug is built for connecting your dynamic microphone to an OS X Mac, for home recording, or for live play-through. It has an XLR connector, and works with any OS X audio software that accepts a 16-bit, 48KHz USB audio signal"

That says only Mac to me.

Yeah, I saw that too.

The computer guy in me still wonders what makes it so magical that it can't work with anything else?

It seems kinda silly to me that they would limit their potetial market.

But I'm not curious enough to gamble $60 and half a day fiddling with it, though.
