Hi i would like to connect my guitar to my yamaha mixer...so i would like to know how to connect it since i have a behringer mic100 tube ultra-gain preamp and a behringer ultra-DI box...can i safely say that the oreder of my signal would be electric guitar->ultra DI box-> Mic100 Preamp->mixer ....without compromising signal quality? thanks

If you connect the Direct link output of the Ultra DI box to the input of the MIC100 it should not compromise the signal quality.
But why put the DI box between the electric guitar and Mic100 pre-amp ?
The Mic100 itself can work as an DI-box.

Although the "tube" pre works as a di, because it is also intended as a preamp the quality of the signal will be comprimised. Using the di ahead of the pre will take that part of the "job" away from the pre. The pre get's a stronger signal to work with so it doesn't have to work as hard to bring the signal up to snuff. That all being said and keeping in mind that this is all just a theory, you shouldn't have to use the DI at all. In fact I've used that pre as a di before with a Tech 21 XXL distortion box and it sounded great straight into a PA. Maybe try A/Bing it to see if the percieved signal enhancement isn't just "in you head". I'm not saying that it is but it may be.

The direct link output (1/4" jack) of the Ultra DI box is directly connected to the input of the Ultra DI box (according to manual) without any active/passive circuitry and should therefore not influence the signal in anyways...
But if you use the other output(XLR) you can activate the 4X12 CAB simulator and get another sound.

If there were no effect to the signal whatsoever, it would be useless as a DI. It has to do Something. Specifically transform the signal from lo t hi impedence.

Hi huseph
It is just the direct link output (1/4" jack) that is "hardwired" directly to the input (all according to the manual).
The XLR output is the "real" DI output .

I see. I missed that. Sorry. Kinda leads to the idea that the percieved enhancement was psychological.
