I'm using Kristal Audio Engine as my SW
I'm using my guitar through a Marshall 30 watt amp and I'm plugging my computer to my amp's line-out jack with a 1/4 to 1/8 adapter.

I can record and everything but I'm really confused about something...
When I play the guitar, whether I'm recording or just tweaking my sounds before I hit the record button, the sound clips out, or sounds really distorted. Like, when I hit a note, the sound indicator bar goes all the way up and then all the sound stops for a second then starts again. And when its not doing this, it's just blinking in and out as I play. My amp volume isn't that high, my speaker volume isnt that high... what's going on?

The level out from the Line/Headphone out from the amp is too high for the Line in Analog/Digital converter on the Soundcard.
This is due that the Line out level from the Amp is +4dBV level (according to manual) and the max line input level for soundcard is lower than that.
You need to reduce the Volume knob on the amp until the record sound indicator bar in KAE does not hit the roof.
Have you installed the ASIO2 driver Asio4All http://www.asio4all.com/ ?
It will reduce delay/latency problems in KAE.
