any ideas how to boost the signal from a bass whilst spending as little money as possible?

sorry. im trying to boost the signal from a bass guitar to a torque 100 watt amp. I just really want to give it a bit of a push (the pickups on it are terrible).

Use a preamp or a booster footpedal.

I started with nothing - and I've still got most of it left.
Did you know that the word "gullible" is not in any dictionary?

A pre-amp like the one I mentioned will give other otions to. Chorus, delay, reverb, etc.
And will allow you to boost your input stage.
