I am thinking of buying a Marshall ED1 for my Acoustic guitar plug into a the Ultrasound AG30. Does anyone have any comment?

I haven't tried particular unit, so I really give advice on it. Like most effects units with sometime spent tweaking you should be able to get some great sounds from it. I've heard some great things about the amp your have. Another thought would be to check out an Equalizer pedal.

I ran my Martin electric/acoustic through my MXR compressor.
I found I dont need to as my amp has enough compression.

still, it makes for some nice sounds as it evens out the attack and string volumes.
