well, i just dont know if my boss delay pedal is broken or not.
i have been told they eat batteries but mine is crazy - i put a new one in at the start of a gig and by then end of set 1 the battery is flat!!
so.. im off to get a plug, but if there is a problem with pedal that is causing this, am i running the risk of getting an electric shock by using a plug?? or are they just so bad at using batteries.
oh, by the way, i dont use the delay except for one song in that first set, so it is running the battery down when not turned on??
"I like to play that guitar. I have to stare at it while I'm playing it because I'm not very good at playing it."
Noel Gallagher (who took the words right out of my mouth)
The link contains a list with the consumption of several pedals. Check if your pedal is in the list and so you could compare with others about the consumption.
http://www.cioks.com/assets/CURRENT%20CONSUMPTION%20TABLE.pdf
For example, the DD-5 consumes almost 6 times more than a BD-2.
Anyway, for some pedals it is indifferent if it is on or off, they consume always battery.
