I've got an opportunity to get one of these locally for $100.

I will be trying it out on my own of course but I just want a few opinions on if this would be a good fit for my situation. I'm moving to college in 2 weeks so I'm thinking of bringing this instead of an amp and just playing through my stereo or headphones. Also I have a band that might be playing live within a few months and I could plug straight into PA since my current amp is only a 30 watt practice amp. Again I will be testing it out but how do you guys think these sound and do they mix well with tube amps for the future?
