Found out at a gig today that the reverb has disappeared from my Fender Stage 185. The amp has just stood still and I have barely used it since I got it 6 months ago (second hand) - I'm pretty sure that it has a spring reverb and that it used to make this ..erh.. spring sound if I hit the cabinet. Now it doesn't make that sound, and the reverb knob doesnt do anything either. ... anyone with any ideas?? I don't know how a spring reverb works. is it really a spring in there? So maybe it has simply disconnected from something or what??
Will google it too -

Yup,,, thats all it is could be that the spring is broken or become detatched from something in its housing. I'm pretty sure that it works by sending the signal along the spring, so it should be easy enough to fix.

Be excellent to each other & party on dudes!

Thanks! looks just like the thing at the bottom of the chamber at the rear of my cabinet.

However, today back home, I found out that the reverb does indeed work :? :?
I.e.:
1. I didn't work yesterday - i.e. bad wiring falling in and out or something
2. I did work yesterday, but due to the unfamiliar room I was playing in I didn't notice the reverb (seems unlikely - hadn't even had a single beer)

Have to sleep on this one

Sounds like one of the connections is loose, fairly common problem. Just push them back on snug, the vibration of the amp makes them work loose over time.
