Just bought a BOSS CS-3 from ebay and it does not seem to work. When turned on it makes a VERY loud feedback hum and the sound from the guitar is not audible. If I fiddle with the knobs a bit I can get it to work but it very quickly returns to the hum again! Anybody know what could be wrong and how to fix it? Thanks
I have no clue but if you are running with just the battery you might want to change it. I had an issue with a equalizer pedal awhile ago and when I plugged it in it made a loud squeal.
I changed the battery and used a "new" battery that came with the pedal and the same thing happened switched that out and it was fine.
I stopped running any pedals off batteries and now use a One Spot to power all my pedals and haven't had a problem since.
If you are running off batteries I'd give it try you have nothing to lose.
"It's all about stickin it to the man!"
It's a long way to the top if you want to rock n roll!
Thanks. I was actually running off a power supply but it may well be the power supply that is the problem. Will try out a battery and see what happens.
