I would like to get something that would allow me to play guitar, have someone sing and provide a backing track, maybe just a beat. Ideal if it would also record. My fiance has a great voice and I would like her to join in on my practicing sometimes, I think she would love to sing if I could strum a few chords.
Any advice on what piece of equipment I would need for this.
It comes down to how much your looking at spending. A small 200 watt PA system and mini disk would work or a 5000 watt sound system and a computer connected using windows media player to select the songs to sing with.
I would say try the smaller system first, maybe get a drum module or keyboard that does drums and melody, and a mini disk to record or play songs you had pre-recorded and play along with them
