I'm buying a pair of srx725's and need a power amp to run them. Can someone recommend me a good one? Price isn't really an issue. the information about recomended power amps is on this page http://www.jblpro.com/catalog/support/getfile.aspx?doctype=3&docid=1066 but I am not sure what the numbers mean.

thanks for your help

Optimal power for those speakers will be an amp that can produce a peak output of 3500 to 4000 watts per channel. You'll want one with low Total Harmonic Distortion (%THD). Keep in mind that humans can hear a THD of 0.1%. The lower the THD is, the better. Distortion kills tweeters.

My recommended brands: QSC, Carvin, Crown, Peavey.

Playing guitar and never playing for others is like studying medicine and never working in a clinic.
