I am new to this forum, so I thought I introduce myself.

My name is jeff and I live in beautiful west michigan, about 10 miles from lake michigan. I've been playing guitar, on and off, for about 30 years. The last couple of years I've become much more serious about it. I play mainly for family, friends and I play in the praise band at church. My other interests include kayaking, fishing, hunting, Jesus, trumpet, reading, and hiking.

I have been lurking here for awhile trying to learn some stuff to improve (which I have) and thought I should get involved. I am looking foward meeting some of you.

Jeff :D

Hey Jeff, this is a great site for guitar hobbyists and enthusiasts (maybe even the best).

Hello Jeff. First off, welcome to GN! Second, I was reading your introduction and was amazed; we seem to have a lot in common. I live in your neck of the woods: northwestern Indiana, only about 25 miles from Lake Michigan. I also play guitar in a praise and worship band and used to play a lot of trumpet too (though it's been quite a little while)! However, alas, I can't say too much for my fishing/kayaking skills  Anywho, not really sure if I had a point there, but I couldn't resist noting the similarities. Hope to see you around the forums !

Hi Jeff!

Well, I'm on the opposite side of the lake from you, and a little inland, but I did grow up on the near-west side of Chicago, and I did live in Detroit for a few years, so I guess I qualify for being another one of your neighbors!

See you around the forums! :D

I currently live in Frankenmuth (feel free to come by for the chicken - we also have a Blues festival coming up) but went to college in K-Zoo at WMU.
