Why I chose to cop a Dylan song title for the subject line, I'm not sure.
It is true, I guess as I currently hail from St. Paul, MN, where snow and ice are plentiful. I'm 23 years of age and don't really know what I'm doing on guitar any more. I suppose it's a rough mix of spacy, experimental rock and more straight-ahead stuff, all with a fusion-esque flavor.
Here's a short (I repeat, SHORT) list of players who currently inspire and amaze me in no particular order:
John Scofield, Robbie Robertson, David Gilmour, Andrew Broder of Fog, Frank Zappa, Brent Hinds of Mastodon
And now, the guitars:
Ibanez AS73 with GFS Retrotron Liverpool pickups - beaten almost beyond recognition and poorly refinished in a dark brown (I LOVE this thing)
Taylor 314CE in much better condition with nothing special about it whatsoever
These go through:
A Big Muff, Boss ME-50 multieffects thingy, and soon a Boomerang Phrase Sampler (it's in the mail, weee!)
Then into:
A fender blues deluxe that needs its tubes replaced.
That's about all for now. I've enjoyed my time here on the guitarnoise forums so far and hope to find good company here.
King Harvest has surely come.
Welcome to Guitar Noise, Elderberry! We look forward to seeing you around the forums! :D
