I hijacked my roommate's abandoned Ibanez V70CE and I'm trying to teach myself to play it. I've been kind of messing around for a few months, but only in the past 3 weeks or so have I actually tried learning to do things the right way. Pretty slow going right now, but I'm having fun.

Welcome aboard, Noff! :)

That is a nice guitar - are you using an amp or playing acoustically?

Just playing acoustically for now, but it still sounds pretty good if I do my part.

Thanks for all the welcomes... everyone here seems so helpful and friendly I'm sure you'll see me around. :)

Welcome to GN, Noff! I have to warn you though - after two weeks here, you'll be wanting an electric. After four weeks, you'll be asking for advice on recording. As soon as you've downloaded Audacity, you'll be wanting a bass. Then a second guitar for slide. Then.....well, it never ends. Be warned - this site is addictive, but the GAS (Guitar/Gear Acquisition Syndrome) you'll get here....well, there is NO cure, and NO hope whatsoever. Except to go out and buy that guitar you REALLY need.....

:D :D :D
