Hi Gang!

We now have over 100 registered Members, and many Guests who are thinking about it.  Considering that the new board has been up for less than 6 weeks - in the summer - this is very impressive.

Keep it flowing!

Laz

Hi,  Ive been coming to this site for a long time but never checked out the forums.  Very nice.

By the way what ever happened to Head Banging Beavis?  I kind of miss him.

Later,

Hi AaronZ!

Eh, head banging beavis? I don't exactly recall that from my time here and before.

And, yes, it does glow ;D

Rock on!

I laughed at the title of the post knowing there are over 2,000 registered members.  Then I looked at the date of the post and realize it was about a year ago.  Imagine if it expanded by 2000 members in a year.  Doing straight math you'd get 10,000 over 5 years.  Yet I'd be confident in using an extra growth factor of about 12% compunded annually.  So I'll make my prediction and sombody can dig it up in 4 years to say I'm wrong or right.  My estimate is that there will be 11,790 registered members on the GN forums on September 24, 2007.  Who is going to dig this one up then?

That means I should have about 15,000 posts.

Well, according to my trusty Excel formulas and the "Rule of Acceleration" the the total output number of post for you was calculated at a lofty 36,458.71 on September 24,  2007.  And that factored in that you'd get a couple of hours of sleep at night and hook up an IV from your coffee pot straight to your veins.  Computers are always right, right?  (Computer nods).

So these boards were inaugurated in May 2002?  Wow.  When I joined back in September of that year I thought these were already well established boards.  Impressive site right from the beginning, I'd say.
