I've been struggling with some things for quite a while, mainly due to my small hands not being able to stretch very far.

Well, today I was able to go from fret 1 to 4 pretty comfortably...still needs some work, but was surprised when I was going through my chet atkins book and was able to kind of do that....and the big one was stretching from 3 to 7 to hit the G Bass note and the B high note.

Finally! Now to be able to make the changes comfortable and without thinking....

And no more excuses now I guess LOL.

In Space, no one can hear me sing!

Congrats! These victories are just what we all need once in a while to keep motivated.

Recently, I have been able to successfully make a full barred F chord without looking (most of the time) and in rhythm. This is a big accomplishment for me and has helped with many songs I have been having difficulties with.

"Can't help falling in love" was the song that opened this door up for me...

LOL yeah thanks....it does keep you working at things.

congrats lue42 on the F barre chord, that shape is pretty good to move around.

I had just the opposite happen. I had been progressing nicely wioth guitar and fretboard. over the wekend I jammed with my oldest friend. we have jammed together for years and years.
anyway, somehow I had forgotten all that I knew and played terribly. I sucked big time.
he couldn't believe it. I was able to turn my amp way up. since he lives in the countryside on a farm we can do that.
being loud didn't help.
that is me. one day a happy genius. the next a total no finger doofus.

way to go Joe. watching your videos for a year now and I see progress on a weekly basis.
you will be so far ahead you'll be a dot on a horizon.

I hear ya Dog! That happens to me everytime I hit the record button. LOL

Alan, thanks, it's a big thing for me to be able to do that, it was one of my "limitations" I had thought.
