I am such a proud papa right now. My son's band (the owner announced them as "We Don't Know Yet" because that's what they answered when he asked what the name of the band was) played their gig yesterday. They rocked the joint! They started out w/ Separate Ways w/ my son playing keys and a female guest vocalist (girlfriend of the singer/guitarist). I wish my son would have taken my keyboard cause the one he used didn't have a very good sound to it, it was too "synth-y". The owner even joined them on bass half way through the song. My son switched to guitar and they played Brick House. Their drummer took a break because he didn't know the next song and the singer/guitarist became the singer/drummer and they played Passage to Bangkok. Their drummer came back and they played Working Man, Welcome Home (Coheed & Cambria) and The Trooper.
You could tell they had a blast and they did such a great job, especially considering they had only practiced 3 times and 2 of those times were within 24 hours of the gig.
I videoed the whole show and a friend is transferring it to DVD for me in the next couple of days. As soon as I can get it posted to YouTube, I'll post the links for you guys. I told him about y'all's well wishes and comments so he knew he had a world wide group cheering for him.
That's awesome! :D

Awsome!

Great stuff, although it seems no-one knows what the Doobies' song was still? Look forward to seeing the video!

"I wonder if a composer ever intentionally composed a piece that was physically impossible to play and stuck it away to be found years later after his death, knowing it would forever drive perfectionist musicians crazy." - George Carlin
Oh yea, the Doobie Bros song they were going to do was "Long Train Running", but they didn't learn it in time. And originally I said Welcome Home, Sanitarium, but it was Welcome Home by Coheed and Cambria, that was my mistake. My son had text messaged the set list to me and I thought he was just being lazy.
