DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) -- Bo Diddley is in intensive care after suffering a stroke in Iowa, a publicist said Wednesday.
The 78-year-old singer-songwriter-guitarist and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer was listed in guarded condition at Creighton University Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska, said Susan Clary, a publicist for the musician's management team.

Sad news - let's hope he makes a full recovery.
There's one of Bo's guitars in the Cavern Pub in Liverpool - I was fascinated with it. I've seen clips of him playing over the years, but what struck me close up was how small the guitar actually was....judge for yourselves.
I'd love to know how he gets any high notes without a cutaway....the neck meets the body at the 14th fret.
:D :D :D

NEW YORK (Billboard) - A week after suffering a stroke following a gig in Council Bluffs, Iowa, rock legend Bo Diddley was being transferred Monday from the intensive care unit to a regular room at Creighton University Medical Center in Omaha, Neb.
It is as yet unknown when Diddley will be well enough to return to his Gainesville, Fla., home, where he is expected to continue treatment at the Shands Medical Center at the University of Florida.
According to his publicist, Diddley is still having trouble speaking but appears to have suffered no long-term physical damage from the stroke.
"I was able to speak with him by phone this morning," his business manager, Faith Fusillo, said in a statement. "He wanted to know where his stuff was: his guitar and the money from the gig. I was so happy because this is the Bo that I know and love, and a real indication that Bo is on his way back."
