I hope everyone had a good weekend.

I know I did. I spent Saturday doing exactly what I wanted to do. I had one of the best days of my life. It was also an important day. I turned 50. ...and I'm still here to talk about it. :D

Didn't get any new guitars this year (well for my birthday, anyway). I think I'm guitared out. That's a first, huh?

Funny how life works. Saturday I turned 50. Today I went to a close friend of mines funeral for his 19 year old son who passed away last week. Talk about emotional roller coaster. One minute you are thanking GOD for getting you through everything and the next you are praying to him to take a poor young soul.

Life is weird.

Love and Peace

Bish

Yesterday I spent most of my afternoon at the walima (Muslim wedding festival) of a Pakistani resident physician and his new bride. Not much of the food was familiar, but man, was it all good!

Got to hear a bunch of Pakistani pop music, too. Most of it was pretty cool, though I couldn't understand a word. Heard some slide stuff on a twangy banjo-like instrument. A biscuit National probably would've substituted nicely for it. Not much different.

Those folks know how to dress for a party! The men were all looking sharp in their suits, and the women were dazzling in their ornate traditional costumes and jewelry. They had a bunch of cute kids there, too.

If you get invited to one of these things, go!

Happy Birthday everyone!

Sorry about your friend's son, he has my prayers and thoughts...

I lost a son about 16 years ago, still think about him.

It really makes you think about what's really important in this life, I thank God everyday for the things that make us happy and the ability to be able to enjoy life.

When I die, I want to go peacefully in my sleep like my grandfather, not screaming......
like the passengers in his car.

Happy birthday to Ricochet, Paul, and that young punk Dan T. too. :D Paul we know you're a young punk. But Dan, wow. You want my walker? I don't need it yet.

Racetruck1, that's sad. I'm sorry for your loss. I can't say I've had that occur but know that those memories will never go away. And I hope that is a good thing.

Ricochet....sounds like a great party. We need pictures.

Ok fine, I figured you'd say that since you couldn't figure out how to put the batteries back in.

Hope you have a great B-day, Dan.

Come to our gig this weekend and we'll get you up on stage. I'll even supply the guitar for you.

Where did I put that Daisy Rock? :D
