Taking my computer into the shop today to see if anything is recoverable. I hope so, but it looks like a major disk crash and I'm not expecting much.

Let you all know.

Best regards.

Got my files back!

Tech was able to spin up the dead disk and grab and image to put on a new drive.

Whew!

By the way, what's a good disk imaging software?

And...the jam is on!!

I use "second copy" for backing up all the directories I care about to a USB drive. Does not really create an disk image, but I figure I can always get all the software installed back.

I use Powerquest Drive Image which is now Norton Ghost. Same software though. Symantec just swallowed Powerquest. Whether that's good or bad.....well I for one think it's bad but, just get the software now before they totally bloat and destroy it's usefulness. I would check Ebay and Craigslist.

Hey, I like that tone you got going there - and the notes you played.

Cool, thanks!
