Crank did an ace job putting it together. He somehow managed to add over a minute to the track time without me even noticing when listening. Maybe cringe just hypnotized me with his playing.

and thanks taso.

Thanks!

There is a slight problem now though. I think I enjoyed it a bit much and will have to do it again soon. :)

It just so happens I think I may have a backing track waiting in the wings as well. We have several other jams going on right now, so I'll post it up in a week or so. :)

At first I wasn't real sure what you meant by adding over a minute to the track. This morning I pulled it into Media Player and I saw that it thinks it is 5:21 instead of 4:06! It also thinks it is 130kps when it is actually higher than that. Very strange! When I pull it into Audition, it's still the proper length.

Anyone else seeing it as that long? Maybe media player doesn't like the mp3 I created or something?

Hmmmm... The backing track is only about 325, I get 521 on WM, 501 on real player and 406 if I load it on audacity :?:

Good job guys :D sounds great everyone did a good job!--the dog

I just checked it in Cool Edit Pro 2, which shows the unopened file properties as a variable bitrate MP3 (VB70 at ~173kbps, length 4:09). That's probably confusing the various players' time calcs. I note that WM says it's 130 kbps. After fully loading, CEP 2 has converted it to 128 kbps for editing.

Thanks for checking guys! I always use VBR for smaller file sizes. Never had any issues before, but I usually don't use Adobe Audition to create my MP3's either. I was only playing the file through it so I didn't even notice the time difference. Gnease, what Cool Edit is showing is correct.

Also, dog, I had the backing track at 4:06? I noticed that when you guys played over the track it was shorter. I just assumed you cut it a little short on purpose?

Thanks again everyone for the kind words. I really enjoyed being able to play with some better players!!! I'm hooked. ;)
