Anyone into him? Guitar player in John Mayall's band and seriously good egg. I was fortunate to very informally 'jam' with him years back and he was very gracious, taking the time to listen to me playing and teaching me a few things. But as much as that, his general encouragement and lack of pretentiousness was great given how much he outstrips me as a player (even now, lol).

Anyways, he's just released his first solo album, and I thought yall might be interested in checking it out. Think he's touring to support it too. Just noticed his page on myspace and there are a couple of tracks from the album up there if you wanna take a listen.

Looking at the list of guitarists who've played with Mayall in the past, I think we can take it for granted he doesn't employ duffers....

I'll make sure I check it out!

:D :D :D

I seem to recall first listening to some of his work several years ago when I was told it was an example of a Carmen Ghia amp. Sounded terrific, the amp tone and the playing!

Great guitarist with a great technique. As you probably know there are several very cool videos on YouTube. The DVD with the Mayall 70th anniversary's concert is a good example. He share the stage with Clapton and Taylor. His solo in one of the songs (sorry, I don't remember exactly the name now) is one of my favorite tracks (in all my collection).

I saw him last year or it might have been the year before that come to think of it. It was at the Cheltenham town hall John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers were playing there and I had a front row seat.
Terrific playing by Buddy, didn't even break into a sweat. He seems to have a very relaxed playing style.
Also got to see Stan Webs-Chicken shack
Great night all round

I got the latest copy of Guitarist magazine at the weekend and that has a preview video on the free dvd of him, as he is featuring in next months copy

Be excellent to each other & party on dudes!
