Just wondered your opinion on cigar box guitars. I had never even heard of em until yesterday. Apparently they have a pretty big group of followers and have been around forever, I don't know why I've never seen these. Here's a link to one being played. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=caOHwHfuxps

Where do you get your energies? Well its a vicious circle thing, If I hadn't ever played an instrument then I wouldn't ever need to play one. But now that I've been playing, I need to play. - Eric Clapton 1967 RollingStone interview

A bunch of my friends over on Big Road Blues have built and played them. Their biggest advocate, Boz, died a couple of years ago, alas.

Some guy in my area builds them, they have a cult following. I have never been a big fan, simply because they don't seem like they are very durable. I know it is all about the sound/style, but still...

Or you could stick some tiny tricones in the Altoid box and make a tiny resonator! :D

Or you could go for the opposite end of the scale, and build a bass

OK, you knew this was coming ......

I used to hang at Big Road Blues a while ago. I'm not big into blues but I liked the people and it was guitar talk. Then I found this place. Any ways, CBG's interest me. They are cool. If you want to see some you should check out BRB, I'm sure there are still threads.
