Just curious what you guys thought of Clapton's new single, "Revolution?" It's definitely growing on me. When I first heard it I thought it was a cover of "The Last Time" by the Who/Rolling Stones. The first two lines of each song are identical. Looking forward to the album.
I don't really care for it. But, it does have the feel of one of those songs that he'd rip up in a live setting when it was time for a solo, much like he does with I Shot The Sherriff (a studio version that to me is rather boring, but live he takes it to a whole other level). I heard 30 second snippets from all the songs on the album a couple weeks back and there was only one song that sounded even remotely interesting to me. I read an article the other day that Clapton feels this album will be a flop. I fear he'll be correct.
Just found out about this. Listen to the whole album online (legally) here:
Ive only caught parts on the radio, seemed interesting to me. Just listened to the whole thing, I think it's really catchy, seems like a cool song, gotta give it some time though. And yeah, definitly, I already hear him doing some awesome stuff with this live.
me likey
#4491....
I see that he's also covering Harrison's "Love Comes to Everyone". Cool.
