For those who don't know, Eric Clapton's second Crossroads Guitar Festival was this past Saturday. http://music.msn.com/crossroads has 20 videos from the event. I haven't watched them all, but the songs by both Doyle Bramhall and Jeff Beck are really, really cool. And I'm not much of a fan of either. BTW, Jeff Beck's bass player on his song is a girl who looks no more than 13 years old.

wow, that second piano solo in Cocaine was simply insane. I've heard that guy do some great solos before, this was totally different, lol. He may have lost his mind :P

Crossroads intro was also very awesome.

And she plays very well.

I did a little research and it seems Jeff Beck's bassist is
older than she appears.

She is 21 year old Tal Wilkenfeld an Australian native now living in NYC

Still quite impressive though

We were there, and managed to be about 30 feet from the stage (close enough to read the tattoos on the roadies!)

There were a lot of great performances, but for me the best was a call and response jam between Sonny Landreth and Clapton - and that was only 20 minutes into the show!

Bramhall was good, Beck was better - but the real 'rock star' moments were Johnny Winters doing "Highway 61" with Trucks' band, and Winwood doing the old Blind Faith and Traffic stuff with Clapton.

That's really cool that you got to go, Noteboat. And to be so close. Sounds like it was a blast. Watched one of the videos with Winter. Looked like he was about to die at any minute, but he played well.

Man, I can't believe Jeff Beck's bassist is that old. The first thing I thought when I watched the Beck video was "That is one lucky little kid to be up there".
