My favorite is homebrew... I've been brewing for about 15 years now :)

But it's a lot of work, so I only make a couple of batches a year (1 batch = 2 cases, more or less). I like hoppy beers, though, so my commercial preference is for Pilsner Urquell

I've tasted/drank lots of beers, but haven't found the taste for one to like yet. I'll just take a whisky.

This is where I reveal my Englishness

Real ale, far and away 1st choice - Tanglefoot, Ruddles County, Ringwood Fortyniner, Old Speckled Hen, Theakstons Old Peculier ... the list goes on 8)

If no real ale, Caffrey's or John Smith's Extra Smooth

If in Ireland, Guinness (10x better than in England  ) or Murphys

If desperate, Stella!

(Actually I don't mind Stella at all, but I don't admit that unless I have to ...)

I usually go for a pint of Guinness, or failing that I'll take Strongbow or John Smiths. I try and stay away from lagers like Carlsberg which are quite rank.

Some excellent choices... I propose a virtual toast... Next time you are enjoying your guitar and your cold one of choice, hold it in the air and utter something of substance regarding GN and your fellow strummers... Just make sure no one is watching!!!

I'll only be down there (in the basement practicing) for a couple of minutes or so...

Stronbow isn't really a beer so much as a cider...but I agree, it is tastey. If you're putting stronbow in the mix, that's my bet.

Guitarin' isn't a job, so don't make it one.

Same here but I dont find it to be too much work unless your doing all grain. I dont drink commercial anymore.

Robust Porter and Red Ale are my two favs.
