As many of you probably know, when you try to connect an ipod to itunes on a different computer it deletes everything on your ipod. Apparently there's software that gets around this issue wherein the ipod is recognized as just another drive. So my question is; does anyone know where I can obtain this software or whether theres another way to get around this?

If you are on Windows you can just connect the ipod and you should be able view it as a drive in Windows Explorer. That does not however get around the iTunes copy protection, Unless all you want to do if copy stuff from the iPod to save it.

There is a program called myTunes that lets you save music from differnt computers. If you're connecting your iPod to a different computer with iTunes you can change the preferenes to manual updating to avoid having your music deleted.

There's a good site for any question related to the ipod and itunes :

http://www.ilounge.com/

Check the "Ask Ilounge" section.
