If you're in a buying mood, here's a couple of albums that I really like

All guitar, (almost)all instrumental...

Though the first Zappa that I heard was

zappa is great. Hot Rats is an old favorite.

I love his lyrics. He plays around with words like an accomplished English literature professor.

Only in this case, he mixes them with some eccentric yet fine music with some awesome guitar playing! 8)
