I am looking to buy a new electric up to 300 bucks. There are a couple i have to choose between.

I would like to get an input from someone that knows a little bit more than I do. I like the Les Paul look but i just want a guitar that will play well and not expensive, cause i cant afford something more expensive. Well thanks a lot.

I've got a SG 400. Nice guitar. I use it mainly for metal stuff. I think at least one of your options would have a cleaner sound though, like the Les Paul.
