I would like to see the great collective GN magnifying glass of scrutiny reveal why this guitar is priced so much less than exact copies. the only difference i see is the back and sides are made from different woods.

surely bubinga is not that much cheaper?
is it just a special deal for MF?
is there something inherently wrong with this combination that makes them want to unload them?
$169 for a solid spruce top made for fender in korea (i assume) seems to be a fantastic deal.
i'm thinking of getting a "beater" to replace my aged Yamaha and this seems to good to pass up.
talk me out of it

That is my favorite low price guitar. At $169 a phenomenal bargain. Get two.
Bubinga and Dao cost the same last time I looked.
Buy the lot Twisted lefty and seel em to GN'ers I'm just wondering what they will cost over here in rip off Britain.
Thinks, I'll have a look and get back to you.

More likely Chinese than Korean. Sounds like a deal, though.

I don't remember, but I think my DG-22s was made in Korea.
When you hear me talk about the guitar I regret selling most, it was a DG-22s. Beautiful, great tone, easy playability. I mean I play a Collings OM1A and a Breedlove and a Gibson J-200 and I still miss that Fender.
I may just buy one anyway at $169.

so much for talking me out of it...
well i'm pretty much sold. i can't figure out why they are reduced that much, unless they are seconds. i plan on going down there this weekend to try a few out.

What model Breedlove do you play Nick?

and the DG22S is free. MF definately wants rid of them..
i once had a DG20ce, and lam-top aside, it was a nice, fun guitar until the frets popped off. it's been repalced with a Fender GDC100sce, and that one's just not as good. sure it's got the solid top and all, but it sounds a little sterile and slightly plunky. it's basically my beat-around, take anywhere guitar.
if i hadnt just bought Nick's seagull, that $169 Fender would be verrrrry appealing. damn gas!
I used to have a SC-20K. Now I play a Northwest.
You guys are killing me! :)
That's a great price! My only acoustic (Epi AJ-1) has recently gotten very bad fret buzz. Not sure why, but it is horrible. So I know another, slightly more expensive acoustic is in my future. I may have to run this one past the fiancee and see if she'll let me put it on the ol' credit card.
