sorry off-topic... but I came upon a site that supposedly plays Stairway and a few others backwards and it makes out satanic or subliminall messages! Here: http://www3.telus.net/jefmil/stairwaybackwards.htm
Stairway to Freebird!
Sorry dude, I know your young but, people have been talking about it for years and the end result is still the same............ WHO CARES!!!!
I listen to "my" music forwards and don't plan on changing that any time soon so..................
Just yesterday, my 12 y.o. daughter informed me that Oswald didn't assasinate JFK. I explained to her, that while I'm a skeptic and generally question authority, there some things we will never know for sure one way or the other -- but never believe it when anyone tells you they absolutely know for sure the secret truth about XYZ. Then I showed her my emergency stash of aluminum foil hats.
yoyo -- this stuff resurfaces every 3 to 5 years.

#4491....
I've known about the "Here's to my sweet satan" for a while, but it's still pretty scary that there's an entire interpretation of the song backwards with the same satanic subject matter- plus, that Pink Floyd song sounded like backmasking. I know Jimmy Page was seen as a very good producer, and he was very interested in (for lack of a better word) the occult. But what I want to know is, has anyone from Led Zeppelin ever confirmed or denied that 'messege'?

the stairway one is absolute BS.
Without reading the lyrics, you can't make out any of that garbage.
However... The pink floyd one ,that one works i think. Actually, I can't be sure, cause I read the lyrics first. But its not all screwy like the others. It makes perfect coherent sense.
Soylent Green
The scary thing is that someone was stoned enough to accidentally play the thing backwards in the first place.

Yep, im amazed someone actually came up with words that would fit, but without looking at them the only things you could vaigly make out were
"666" and "sweet satan"
And if you play D-I-V-O-R-C-E backwards, you can hear the words "will you marry me?"
I started with nothing - and I've still got most of it left.
Did you know that the word "gullible" is not in any dictionary?

Simple answer:
Even IF those words are in fact recorded backwards, so what?
There is no evidence at all that a message so subjected could be picked up by even the most astute listener when listening to the song as it's typically played.
Even if the messaage could be heard (which it can't) so what?

Gee, "Stairway to Heaven" played backwards has always been
nevaeH ot yawriatS
and I can only come up with something like
"Never eat your rats" which I already knew was a good recommendation.
Hahaha.
Good stuff.
True Simon, the only thing I could make out was Sweet Satan without reading it also.
I read a big article by a very conservative christian who was surprised and upset about the "666" in "Kiss kiss kiss" I dont see how these people dress themselves. I mean, "Kiss kiss kiss" backwards is "ssik ssik ssik" Never been a secret.
