Thanks for doing all the youtube links, Ken. I pared down the list to best video viewing. Talking Heads and Liz Phair are included for pure camp/over-the-top cheezy art school nastiness -- but once it was actually new and innovative.
And how hot are the John Hiatt tunes, with Sonny Landreth killing on slide. Wow!
Fixed the spelling of Cracker -- why is it in red?
-=tension & release=-
I have Black Sabbath - We Sold Our Souls For Rock and Roll, in entirety
Ayreon - The Dream Sequencer, in entirety
Alice Cooper - Love It To Death, in entirety
Various Opeth songs
Various AC-DC songs
Various The Awesome Machine songs
Jimi Hendrix - Most of Electric LadyLand
The Grateful Dead - American Beauty, in entirety
Some Mercyful Fate and King Diamond
Jeez, that's all I can remember off hand, but I know I'm forgetting some bands
It is a small world for metal fanatics. I welcome you fellow musicians, especially the metalheads!

Because it is now on my iPod. Really, really liked it.
Couldn't find it at my normal mp3 site so had to pay $0.99 from iTunes
(Yuck. I hate paying that much for one song. But I'll get my money's worth out of it.)
I logged back on to get the YouTube link so I can send it to Dogbite.
I think he'll like it.
(I'll fix the spelling too. Thanks)

It's the rock that gives the stream its music . . . and the stream that gives the rock its roll.

That's what we paid back in the late 70's, except now no b-side.

Eurotrash Girl isn't normally listed on the album notes, but is ta "hidden" track (#69) on Cracker's 'Kerosene Hat' collection. It's become a fave cover for some of us. Done it at least a couple times at the Monterey General Store with David & Co.

Oh :o Well, let me compliment them on their remarkable taste in music.

I've run out of songs to send so I'm again looking for songs that YOU really like.
So, the criteria would be, if you had to fill an iPod (or generic portable mp3 player) with songs (which could easily be over 1000 songs depending on the Gigabytes) what songs must be on it? And by that I mean what songs inspire you, charge you, send you, rock you, or even make you cry.
First, I never need to choose, I've got an 80GB iPod for the car/gym and it holds all of my music at decent bitrates plus a lot of podcasts. And for work I've got a desktop with 1TB and a pair of decent speakers. But, if you're wanting some interesting new stuff from the last decade here are some suggestions -
Flaming Lips - Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots
Metric - Dead Disco, I.O.U.
The New Pornographers - The Laws Have Changed, From Blown Speakers
The Bees (in the US called Band of Bees because of a name conflict) - Who Cares What the Question Is?, Listening Man
Pop music is about stealing pocket money from children. - Ian Anderson
Metallica-Cyanide
Verve- All of Urban Hyms
Velvet Revolver- Slither
I recently bought an Australian "Best of" collection of Hoyt Axton's songs, named "Flashes of Fire." The whole thing's going on my iPod.

Thanks, TP324.
I can't listen to/watch video clips or even sound clips while I'm here in TN.
I only have dial-up and it takes too long for them to load.
But I'll give a listen when I get back to civilization (and am properly plugged in to this planet's neural network).
Again thanks,

Just to defend my home state, we do have proper internet access here. :D

No need to defend TN.
I'm here because this is one of my favorite parts of this country.
It's just that I don't stay here long enough to justify installing cable internet or D$L.
I'm still tapped into the stream . . .
but just a small tributary . . .
that flows rather slowly . . .
sometimes it feels like a dribble . . .
