I cant help u with the color but the one on the top has a humbucker in the bridge and two single coils. The one on the bottom as just three single coils. The strat with the humbucker will sound fatter in one position, you should check them both out at a local music store and see which one you like.
Lot's of times you'll see HSS(Humbucker,Single Coil, Single Coil), SSS(Single Coil, Single Coil, Single Coil) and lastly, HH(Humbucker, Humbucker) all of these refer to pickup configuration. Strats are usually SSS Unless they're Fat then there's a Humbucker on it. Les Pauls are usually HH although I've never seen one with a single coil.

For colors, I say white is more popular. JMO, but they seem to sell out quickly in limited production run guitars that offer several colors, including white.
