There are plenty of legal sites. iTunes is ok, Napster is ok, and even Tesco the UK supermarket has a download site.
Ok, so Tesco's is full of rubbishy pop songs, but someone must like them......

youtube ofcourse. It has everything. Just use one of the many youtube-download sites and rip the audio from the video file you'll download.
