No argument from me about Epi LPs. Daddy likie alot! I'm surprised you didn't dig the tone from those pickups though. Was it the Dirty Fingers or the EMGs?
If you are referring to the tone on those Prophecy guitars, they absolutely rock! I had the EM-2 Prophecy Custom FX w/ "EpiActive" pickups for a short while, & they were so sweet sounding. I ended up sending the guitar back though, because of the one-way Floyd Rose trem. system.
That was the deal breaker for me, unfortunately. Other than that, it was one of the sweetest guitars I have ever played. If Gibson/Epiphone would make a guitar with a trem that you could pull both ways, like a "true" rock/metal guitar should be set up, then I would be all for them.
This is why I usually stick with Jackson/B.C. Rich/Dean, etc. Oh well, too picky I guess... :roll:
