Heh heh heh, I just found this on youtube - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T9jwqbh187g&feature=related

It's the staff band from my old school rocking out!

The guy on keys is Graham Warner, music teach and total jazz head (really schooled me on jazz, I've him to blame for that passion), on bass is Rob Jones, another music teach and multi-instrumentalist. The axeman is my old chemistry teacher, John Leather, who has a new guitar by the looks of it (he also has/had a v v v tasty Patrick Eggle I played and lusted over) - he's a sharp little player, and taught me how to play the intro to Hey Joe in his lunchtimes as none of the music teachers were guitarists (most could strum a few chords, but that was about it). I think the singer is Stu, a lawyer and sax player who is a freidn of the band, but I've no idea who the drummer is.

I was only searching my school to make sure there are no videos of me in a spangly dress playing Hideaway (yes, a tape of that does exist), but this has made my day, ah the fun times it brings back. Enjoy!

Youtube really is awesome. 8)

That of course is what we want to see.

It's not there, I've checked already! I'd have posted it if it was. Honest.

But it definitely does exist, as I've seen the proof. There are also photographs from a bunch of gigs I did with a singer around that time, but I have no way of scanning them. Shame.

you going to lead off on that one, Scrybe? maybe sponsor it?

great to find gems like this. love that "last call" at the end -- immediately quelled the call for an encore.

I thought you'd have got it started already, as you'd be eager to make yourself the bookies favourite. According to my expert sources, your grooving is legendary, gnease. Whether my expert sources happen to be experts on the matter of butt-shaking (or fanny-shaking, depending on continent or incontinence) is something I'll not elaborate on here. But I was told it was your secret to playing guitar. I was hoping to pick up a few tips on expressive movement next year, in fact. And even the staff band have heard rumour of your grooving genius, just note the song selection in that clip.
