hey, ive only started tryin to sing properly over the last week or so, so it might just be that im completely new to the whole thing and just need practice, but when i sing my voice just doesnt have any power in it. it just sounds like im slowly dying noisily.
anyone conquered a similar problem that cud give any advice?

It sounds like you are singing from your throat.
Imagine the sound higher. Don't let it drop lower than your top lip.
Make it sound more nasally to begin with. Later add the 'sob' technique to thicken it up.
Practice lots and lots. Never push too hard. Enjoy.
