Hello to all!

Here''s another "fill in the blank" assignment. Your title is either "Empty" or "Empty __________" and you are not allowed to use any of the following words (or their plurals):

Arms
Bottle
Box
Glass
Hands
Head
Heart
House
Pocket
Space
Wallet (purse, pocketbook, etc.,)

I'm sure I've forgotten (more than) a few of the clichés that are typically associated with empty, so I'll be updating this "do not use" list as the week goes on. Feel free to ask me ahead of time if the word you want to use is on that list!

And you get to pick another number - any number from 2 to 8 and don't be worried about picking the same number as someone else. Trust me on this.

As always, I look forward to reading and to listening to what you come up with.

Peace

Thank you for your choices, gentlemen. PMs with instructions have been sent. Please let me know if you do not get them for any reason.

More words to add to the "do not use" list:

Bottle
Glass
Pocket

And I'm sure there will be more, so stay tuned!

Peace

Six.

Falling in love is like learning to play the guitar; first you learn to follow the rules, then you learn to play with your heart.

Hello and welcome!

I've sent a PM to your inbox with instructions about your choice of number. Feel free to ask any more questions either here or via PM.

And I hope you find the SSG a fun experience. Essentially we're all here to improve our songwriting, which is why the assignments usually focus on either a lyrical or musical idea (and occasionally, as with this week, both). Feel free not only to post your own work but to comment on others as well. The commenting is just as important as it helps everyone improve.

Looking forward to having you take part here in the SSG.

Peace
