Sunday Songwriter's Group – Year 5 Week 10 (7/01/07)
Hi Everyone
A new direction for this week. Quite simply I'd like a song looking at new beginnings as it is indeed a new (calendar) year for us.

Bob should be back with us next week. My thanks for your kindness and patience in putting up with me as a substitute for the past few assignments. Hopefully my schedule will allow me to get back into doing more writing and (much more importantly) critiquing as of this week.

I HATE that song - nothing wrong with it as such, it's just that one of my favourite bands - Status Quo - have had more hit singles than any other band (check it in the Guinness Book of records.....) and in all this time (first hit was "Pictures Of Matchstick Men" in 1968) they've spent precisely ONE week at #1 in January 1974 with "Down Down"......guess who knocked that song off #1?
