Hi Everyone

For this week I thought I'd continue the time theme but I want us to go back in time, and probably to a place, in which we grew up, had long summer days or snowy winter adventures but we're telling the story of the time or place, the friendships that formed there, when we drifted apart and what may bring us back there one day. I'm guessing that wouldn't be the happiest of events for a lot of us. :?

So we're getting a bit wistful this week and two examples that spring to mind are Cat Stevens' (Remember the Days of the) Old Schoolyard and Bryan Adams' Summer of 69.

I'm sure you'll get the idea.

Good writing

Bob

I LOVE those songs, Bob.

I love those two songs as well, and I'd add Rod Stewart's "Mandolin Wind" to the list - beautifully evocative of happier times, almost achingly nostalgic - I love it as much now as I did 30-odd years ago....
