Hi Everyone
Welcome to year 5 of SSG and I'm excited about this year if only because I'm going to make a concerted effort to write more myself. I've a very busy, time consuming and energy draining job that needs to be balanced by things I truly love to do. Although I do enjoy my job it's not who I am if you undersand me. That got me to thinking who am I? what is it that I want other peple to know aout me? and I thought what a topic for an assignment. Let's introduce ourselves in songs. I also thought about going back to basics this year and one of Nick's mantras is write about what you know. I think I know me pretty well and I'm sure you know yourselves with that same confidence. So that's our assignment for Week 1 of Year 5.
Let's see what we discover
Good writing
Bob
PS Apologies for not being around the board much but that pesky job thing has been invading home for the last few weeks.
You are what you eat, eat well
I think Cheap Trick described me pretty well in one of their songs years ago ..
I altered the words and by god it is me
Dreamer I'm nothing but a dreamer
Can I play music oh no
Dreamer I'm nothing but a dreamer
Can I put my words into song Oh no
Dreamer nothing but a dreamer
 Hilch the biggest dreamer of them all
Here is to you as good as you are
And here is to me as bad as I am
As good as you are and as bad as I am
I'm as good as you are as bad as I am
hah, Peter Green got me down to a T years ago.....
"I can't help about the shape I'm in,
I can't sing, I ain't pretty and my legs are thin....."
Oh Well......(68? 69?)

Ah, Brian May got me worked out
I'm a simple man
with a simple name
from this soil my people came
in this soil remain

"Be good at what you can do" - Fingerbanger"
I have always felt that it is better to do what is beautiful than what is 'right'" - Eliot Fisk

Well, Megadeth actually had me pegged some years ago ..
"Sweating Bullets"
Hello me, Meet the real me
And my misfits way of life
A dark black past is my
Most valued possession
Hind sight is always 20/20
But looking back its still a bit fuzzy
But as I grew up and got a family life changes you. Lucky too that it became more cheery for me. If I had a mantra now I think it would be Keith Urban's
"Gods Been Good To Me"
Oh the sun is shinin' on down in Tennessee
And right now where I'm right where I wanna be
I've never felt so loved, so peaceful and so free
Hey there ain't no doubt that God's been good to me
Funny how life changes
Now, off to get my Yr5 Wk1 appearance written. I hope to be more consistant this year.
