The hate that I am feeling
Pursuing all your lies
My grudge is ever growing
The burning in my eyes
Ill burry the dead
My hate will hide
Your words brushed off
All because you lied
Don't anticipate forgiveness
The moment has passed
You had your chance
My life is gone too fast
Ill burry the dead
My hate will hide
Your words brushed off
All because you lied
Don't call me, don't call here
I'm not alright to listen
You're dead to me
Why can't you see
I'm hurt by what's inside
Our love is just pretend
Ill burry the dead
My hate will hide
Your words are gone
All because you lied
No words no explination just music
Well, Taintedpoet, I have now read all the Week11 songs that have been posted so far, and yours is the only one with no replies!
I don't know how it slipped through the loop, but I thought I'd put that right.
Gotta say, I really like it. Again it's a sad song - most are this week it seems. It's a simple song about feeling let down and betrayed. Calling it simple is meant in a good way. There's also an underlying anger in there that threatens to burst out. Maybe you can use that to your advantage with any music you put this to.
Good writing - hopefully someone else will add their 2p now I have bumped it to the top.

Listen Louder Than You Play
Well, tainted poet,
this whole anger / angst thing is not really my cup of tea. Although it seems to be quite popular these days. Anyways, the song itself, in terms of meter / rhyme / structure, works very well. You know what might be interesting? if you put these lyrics to an up-beat melody. I think the incongruous relationship between the words and the music would be fantastic. I heard Louis Armstrong do something similar, and it was very cool.
