Ok this was kinda inspired by the movie City of Angels. Basically the premise is that the angel is in love with the women he is protecting, but she doesn't know he is there. There's a twist to it though, see if you can get it! :)

Also having a bit of trouble getting music down for this.
Defo need a capo on 1 verses using A E G(without the high B and E strings fretted).
Enjoy!

As you rise from your dreamless sleep
I can feel your heart beating
And it seems it's much too quick

Take a deep breath, try to focus in
And remember what I told you
Just before I went away……

I'll be watching over you
Every step that you take
I'll be standing next to you
I will keep you safe from harm
But I wish just one last time
I could hold you in my arms

Take the car and you drive to work
But it feels just like a pain
Inside my head, I can't describe

Because you'll never make it there
This is your last final hour
And there's nothing I can do but care….

I'll be watching over you
Every step that you take
I'll be standing next to you
I will keep you safe from harm
But I wish just one last time
I could hold you in my arms

Close my eyes as you lose control
I pray it's over quickly
That you can learn just to let go

As you turn you head I see
That for the first time in forever
You can look right into me

I take you hand, you hold on mine
Both together we are floating
And I'm wearing such a smile

I've been waiting for your ascent
Now you're finally here with me
And it feels like you heaven sent

I've been watching over you
Since my time with you was through
I've been here waiting for you
I have kept you safe from harm
And after all of these long years
I can once again hold you in my arms

And after all of these long years
All the pain and all the tears
I can once again hold you in my arms

Nice. I think the way you fashioned it really helps to get the sentiment across. I also like that although you "watched over" you didn't determine or change the course of fate. If you manage to put it to music I'd think I would love to listen to it. Good job.
