Let's see what happens ten years from here,
You're in a dark bar, drinking warm beer.
Make the words matter and seal the deal,
He's waiting to have you, for something real.

As you stare at his eyes, lustful and dead,
you remember me, the man you wed,
My face drains your body of blood and hope,
why must we always stray and elope.

through your eyes, the colors of life,
bubblegum pinks, my browndead strife
Audiovisual Madness is pulling far down
all that's around you and all that you've found

what have you found but a stool and a slab,
to conduct your business in this social lab,
with your Grace Under Pressure you are gasping for air
But you and I know,
you could only escape,
with me there.

and there you will stay, speaking to your feet,
speaking simple words, "this melody is new to me"

I don't follow my dreams, I just ask em' where they're going and catch up with them later.

I kept it simple as far as rhyme and meter, the lesson was pretty challenging
