Un-kept Words

I don't want to hear this anymore.
It keeps me preserved.
But every time I‘m a fool to believe you,
I get what I deserve.

Promises are shattered by a smile.
The smile that hides the lie.
I find your words un-kept with your splinters.
These promises that have died.

I don't want to be kept waiting again
For what will not be there.
I find myself waiting in the end.
You can't say that this is fair.

Promises are shattered by a smile.
The smile that hides the lie.
I find your words un-kept with your splinters.
These promises that have died.

I used to like the sound when you spoke.
I used to love the feeling that I felt.
But now you misled way too many times.
It's amazing how such a voice could contain these lies.
And now you are alone.
And you still wonder why?
Your poison seeped into my skin.
And I have died.

Promises are shattered by a smile.
The smile that hides the lie.
I find your words un-kept with your splinters.
These promises that have died.

There's a thin fine line between hate and rage.
Now watch the line be crossed and break!

Hey Pierson, nice work.

A few suggestions:
But every time I‘m a fool to believe you,

Maybe try:

But every time I‘m fool enough to believe

Also,
And I have died.

I bet it would be very effective to leave this line unsaid. Play the music where the line would go, just don't say anything. So you'd have:

Your poison seeped into my skin.
... .... .... ... ......

See how it sounds.

Ice cream is a dish best served cold.
