hey... let's see...
night time relief
gather up the pieces of your true heart
put them together when we meet in the park
or out at his place where we go tired of the open space
and seasons fast forward
look up the past in these cardboard boxes
dance with memories now we've turned them into comedy
or sit close with those who won't soften at the edges
but this is not bitterness
no, this is not bitterness, though bittersweet it is
the years overtake, oh I know, but the streets of this town still blur when we're together
and heavy heads still lose weight
with this diet
waste the night without second thoughts
as we laugh at expectations that stalk us
whisper truths based on no facts at all and we fall
we fall for Johnson's songs again
no this is not bitterness, though bittersweet it is I must confess
the years overtake, oh I know, but things still shine when we're together
and these nights still end with me
falling asleep during movies
what do you think? Johnson is, of course, Jack Johnson, who, for me, is recreation and soothing softness (and uplifting).
if this song could be somewhat in this direction musically i'd be happy, but i don't think it would work too well... i don't know
cheers,

Hey bluenightangel
I think you have written a great song here, the lyrics flow well and really paint a picture :)
With reference to the music, I can see it working with slow, finger-picking style, although what I have in my head would probably take the song to over 5 minutes lol
Great job, look forward to the next one
Pete
hey bluenightangel, like the song, long friendship is good, the one part (or word) that stuck out at me was Johnson, though "Johnson's song" sings nice, and i love his music, his name in the song jumped out at me, you might want to try, we fall for his sweet song again, just a thought, nice work.

Hey I like this part especially
no this is not bitterness, though bittersweet it is I must confess
the years overtake, oh I know, but things still shine when we're together
what kind of music did you want to have for it?
