Thanks Dog. It'll be a couple months or so before I can record anything. But soon as I can I'll get this up.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming -- "WOW--What a Ride!"
Hell, I'll give you a part credit...begrudingly.... :D :D :D
Thinking harmonica solo a la Dylan or Neil Young between verses....
It's a good song mate, has lots of possibilities....

Twisted Fingers,
Great Job :!: Not much to and to what's already been said Except I
think you may have started something with your statement below.
Ahh good ol' 3/4 time. Only ten billion country songs are written this way
By my count that number is growing and must be about ten billion and
three or four by now.

Really nice job TwistedFingers. I like the way it flows and feels. I even was able to play it and sing along comfortably. For me that is saying alot for the flow if I can stay with it.
Looking forward to hearing it.

To quote David Allen Coe:
"It is not the perfect country and western song, because it doesn't say nothing about momma, trains, prison or getting drunk."
Although, unlike his friend in that song I'm not writing another verse to this one :D

Because you posted the trigger for it above. :D
Interesting factoid. DAC actually started out playing/singing blues.

JUly 4th, 2005.....Willie's Picnic...sign in the ticket window, part of which read "David Allen Coe will be sober in time to sing"....funny, I must have missed that....the same poster said, "Anyone singing 'Whisky Tiver' before Willie will be fined $10,,,,,
Perhaps DAC partook too much of said Whisky River?
I have to confess, I never heard of him....er, still haven't heard anything by him.....but I did get to see Willie and Dylan, even saw the Doobies do "Listen To The Music"....
Smokingdog's right, Twisty, you got a great country song here....
I sorted out the problem, need to update LAME on the other comp....and set it as default player....Daughter's got some work to do tomorrow.....
Hey, this could be one of those really good collaborations.....
