I do this from time to time. It used to be called a "sabbatical" but this year I'm going to try to do some semi-regular updates from the road. That is if my laptop doesn't get lost with the luggae.

I haven't been home to see the family in two years so I'll be heading there first. I'm also plan on visiting Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Toronto, L.A., San Diego, Hong Kong again on the way back and maybe Beijing. It's amazing how many times those travel websites let you use your credit card. I'm out of here on Saturday the 19th and plan to be back sometime before October. I will be checking in from time to time but might not be able to send you a speedy reply. If you really need to get in touch I am sure David can track me down by phone.

Have a great trip! I'll some choice magazines and CDs sent to your parents' home for your entertainment!

And I think my calling card will reach Uxbridge. I know I can get Manchester (England), so Canada shouldn't be a problem.

Travel safely, sir!

Peace

Enjoy your trip, Paul.
I think, after 2 years, you're going to experience major culture shock, particularly the added security at airports and such like.

I started with nothing - and I've still got most of it left.

Paul,
Enjoy the trip and the visit home! Two years is a long time -- I'm glad you're getting away.
